Garden Moss For Sunny Areas

Most moss plants prefer in shade or partial shade but our Bryum moss (also called Sun moss) is a garden moss that grows well in the sun.

We recommend a maximum of 8-10 sun hours. This moss is available as a milkshake or you can order live moss plants.

Garden Moss As Groundcover For Shady Gardens

Both of the mosses below are of the genus Hypnum and are known by their common names as ‘Sheet Moss’ and ‘Carpet Moss’.

These mosses can tolerate moderate foot traffic and are a popular alternative to traditional grass lawns.

Garden Moss For Planters & Garden Beds

We have garden moss for sale that can be used for planters, garden beds, fairy moss gardens, or other creative landscaping designs.

How do I care for my garden moss?

After 6-12 weeks, rainwater is normally sufficient, and (almost) no maintenance is required. Read more about moss care in this article.

Where can I buy garden moss?

How do I install garden moss?

Before you install the moss plants, you should clear the area of debris and weeds, moisten the soil, and press the moss firmly onto the surface to remove any air pockets. Keep the area moist with clean filtered water (or rainwater) until the moss establishes itself (6-12 weeks). Read more in this article about how to plant and grow a moss lawn.

Are moss plants safe for pets?

How long does it take before you ship the garden moss?

We always aim to ship the moss within a week but since we are a small family-owned company, we can get behind on fulfilling orders during peak seasons. Read more about our shipping policy here.
