Thudium Moss (also known as Thuidium Moss or Thuidium Delicatulum) is a type of Fern Moss which likes to grow across the ground. As like many other mosses, Thudium prefers shaded areas with little sunlight. It is easy to maintain as long as it is kept moist.
Thudium Moss is often used to cover the floor area of rock gardens and flower beds. Being a ground-covering moss, it can tolerate being walked over so is ideal for pathways and stepping stones. The fern features give it a glorious and magical charm, making it a beautiful addition to your yard.
Our buyers have also used this moss to cover a water fountain or garden statue and added it to concrete walls to create a lush, green feature. A hardy moss species, that has been known to grow up to 12″ in just a year.
Maintaining Thudium Moss
We recommend you to begin growing this moss apart from other plants for the first 6 months as it needs a lot of water to grow. However, once it is strong enough, it is practically maintenance free and will spread fast, even with other plants.
Thudium Moss is often found throughout the eastern US as it thrives in wooded areas and pine forests with high humidity.
