Growth Form: It grows in a small cushion creeping manner. It forms low dense clumps or patches and spreads in a mat-like pattern over the substrate.
Coloration: Bright green to yellow-green when hydrated. It can be dull olive to brownish-green when dry
Texture: This moss has a fine, soft, and upright texture. It is composed of slender stems with overlapping and lance-shaped leaves.

Handling Instructions

Shipped Live: We harvest and ship moss on the same day. The moss will arrive alive and can be planted into your terrarium or viarium instantly.
Storage: You can store this moss in a breathable container for 4-6 weeks in a cool environment. Mist it daily and ensure an airflow. Usage: During planting, press itgently onto the moist substrate. Bryum Moss prefers consistently damp conditions, and it will spread when the conditions are good.

Ecological and Ethical Harvesting

We harvest Bryum caespiticium by hand and ensure sustainable practises. We work with nature and not against it by only harvesting 30% of a population to allow regrowth within 6 months.

I ordered it before from anotehr company and they shipped it only dried but here I got super fresh moss. I’ll order again.
