You can order live moss direct from our Pennsylvania facility — we are the nursery and the supplier, so nothing is resold. We ship nationwide, so near you is wherever you are. Yes. What you receive is true moss: a living bryophyte, not a lookalike ground plant sold under a moss name. It arrives dry, and that is deliberate. Moss is not like cut flowers; drying is how it survives. It goes dormant, shutting down to protect its internal structures, and can stay that way for months. One drop of water brings it back; it rehydrates and greens within minutes, fresh and alive. After planting, mist rather than soak, and let it dry between waterings: moss is healthiest alternating dry and moist, and permanently wet moss becomes stressed.
